The Story Of Diana Masgova

By: Jessica Ann

Diana ran down stairs with her arms full of books and dragging her trunk behind her. When her Mother saw her she said 'It's not like your going on a trip Diana!" "Oh no Mother I wasn't going to bring all of this I was going to ask you what I should bring to my first ballet class" said Diana "Well you don't bring clothes because they provide the shoes and the outfits" said Mother "But you should bring some water and a lunch!'"Just then her father ran in and said "The cab is here!" "Oh I forgot me ribbons Mother!" said Diana "Diana just get your coat your going to be late and believe me its not a happy feeling." said mother Just then Sophie Diana's little sister ran down the stairs. "Why can't I go early anyway I'm starting my lessons next week" "Are you forgetting that Miss Pumpkin is taking you to the park." said Mother "and you wanted to ride the new pink pony on the carousel" "Oh yes, I must go get my bonnet Good Bye Diana Good bye Father"

As they arrived at Miss Belland's Ballet School For Girls. She walked up to the stairs and knocked on the door. A lady in a black dress and white apron answered the door and said "You must be Diana Masgova" she led her up a big stair case and threw big wooden doors. A lady in a dark black dress said "Come sit down." She sat down and said "I'm so happy to meet you ma'am" "I am to dear first I will show you your class" she led her up another stair case and opened the doors. Diana saw girls laughing and holding on to the balance bar running along side the wall. They spun and jumped around. Miss Belland clapped her hands and said "Girls! We have a new student..Her name is Diane and she will be training with you girls." They all ran up to Diane and then one said "My name is Frances...Do you go to school on Cherry Street? I have two little brothers and a older sister" "Yes, I do go to a school on Cherry street and I have a little sister!" said Diane Two girls walked "We'll show you where the outfits are...There are purple, pink and blue." they said "Well girl I will be in my study if you need me...Teacher make sure she gets shoes too!" said Miss Belland. Diane was in the middle of a huge group of girls as they led her to a door. They opened it and there was so many outfits in the room "Pick your outfit" said Frances.
Diane ran to rack and picked out a light blue dress that came to her mid calf then she ran into a dressing room and came out in her new ballet dress. She was about to run out the door when a girl said "Diane you forgot your shoes!" She ran to the shelf and picked out some white shoes and put them on. Then everyone started laughing "Diane your not going to miss a train slow down!" they said "I guess I am not...I am almost out of breathe I have been running so much!" said Diane Then they all went into the ballet room and the teacher said "Time to start the class!" They first put their legs on the balance bar for exercise then started jumping in the air, doing the splits, some were twirling on their toes and some were doing the five positions with their feet. Diane was doing all of those things! The teacher said "Diane Miss Belland wants you right away!" Diane ran down the hallway down the stairs and into Miss's Bellend's study and curtsied. "Diane the teachers have told me you are very very good at ballet and well I would like to ask you something. How would you like to be in a ballet play?"

Diana ready for the play
The back room of the stage was filled with girls ready for the ballet play. The teacher said "Girls Girls are you ready? Where is Diane?" "Right her ma'am" Diane said running up "Your on" said the teacher. Diane ran to the curtains and many other girls got behind her in their positions. The curtains parted.. It was a HUGE crowd and Diane could see her mother, father and Sophie and then the music started. Diane danced beautifully. She was the flower fairy and the rest of the girls were the flowers. She lifted her hands and the flower girls stood up and started dancing! The play went beautifully and was huge success. Diane's mother and father waited for her back stage. Sophie ran and hugged her "Oh were so proud of you!" said her mother and father.

Diane Masgova is now one of France's bast ballerinas ever!
